Center of Happiness Newsletter – January 28, 2015

Dear Ones,

personal note from Rhonda

Just before sitting down to write this newsletter, and perhaps as my final distraction, I noticed and responded to the following Facebook thread initiated by my youngest daughter. Hopefully these brief comments will help you realize you are not alone in questioning your worth as you face whatever challenges are on your plate. These powerful Wonder Women dared to express their doubts out in the open.

In one of her TEDtalks ( famous shame researcher Brene Brown shares her insight that… ”If you put shame in a petri dish, it needs three ingredients to grow exponentially: secrecy

silence, and judgment. If you put the same amount of shame in the petri dish and douse it with empathy, it can’t survive.”

We will all benefit by bringing conversations like these out in the open. I invite you to share on our Facebook page ( ) your thoughts and reflections, insights and wonderings as you reflect on these traits, for dissolving our shame and doubts about being Wonder Women is one of the greatest gifts we can offer the world.

Here is Trait #1:

1. Wonder Women let go of believing they are a victim, embrace their worth, and learn to set and honor clear boundaries.

Wonder Women stretch to understand that they have a choice in how they decode what is before them. At that choice point they do their best to respond rather than react. They recognize that there is a separ

tion between who they authentically are in their heart and the cause of their temporary suffering or challenge. The stress of their circumstances might play a part in their story but it does not overtake their true identity nor, does it define their worth.

So, what if every challenge you face today carries a gift for you? What would it be? How would your life be made different if you looked for the blessing rather than focused on the upset? What if you said YES when you meant YES and NO when you meant NO with no guilt or regrets. Choice is one of your most powerful tools. Reclaim it!“

P.S. Invitation to Share…

Please do! I request that you include this complete blurb with it:

iness, an online community for women and those who love them, is like a mother-mentor-friend-spiritual activist-sounding board and soul-sister who ‘gets it.’ She is that relentlessly accepting someone we wish we could turn to turn to when we feel over-whelmed, our doubts kick in and life seems to tough to handle alone.

As a speaker, author, story-teller, mentor, artist and matriarch who knows first hand that life is too short to not dare to live fully present, Rhonda shares from the heart of her experience and has a remarkable ability to connect authentically with both individuals and large groups, tailoring her message for every audience. As would a trustworthy friend, Rhonda nudges us to embrace the unique wisdom, courage and magnificence within each of us and she stands certain that women activating self-love is the missing piece (peace).
